WHAT'S ACTUALLY HAPPENING
The performance is working. That's the problem.
You've optimized the surface. Your life looks correct from the outside. Inside, something hasn't landed, and you can't quite say what.
You've developed the emotional vocabulary to describe your patterns in exquisite detail. The vocabulary hasn't translated into change.
You're tired of managing yourself. The energy it takes to hold it together is the thing that's actually wearing you down.
When you slow down — really slow down — you can feel a kind of low static underneath the day. You don't have a name for it. You can't trace it to anything specific.
You're not in crisis. You're in the slow-burn version, which is harder to justify taking seriously. Nobody around you is worried, including you, most days.
WHY THE USUAL FIXES DON'T HOLD
You've already tried the obvious things. Here's why they didn't hold.
More self-care doesn't address why you can't access rest in the first place. You can't vacation your way out of a pattern that's running inside you.
Better boundaries don't work when your identity is wired around being the person who holds everything. You install the boundary and watch yourself collapse it within a week.
Mindset work can't override a nervous system that learned, decades ago, that being a certain way is how you stay safe. Conscious intention doesn't reach the layer where the prediction lives.
Time off resets the surface and leaves the pattern intact. The moment you re-enter, the pattern reasserts. You come back rested to the same self.
WHY I DO THIS WORK
How I came to this
I didn't choose this work from curiosity. I chose it because the pattern running my own life was running across every domain — the body, the relationships, the work, the sense of what I was even doing here. What looked like separate problems was one root, which is what I eventually saw. Once I saw it clearly, I couldn't help clients any other way. The single-domain expert model — relationship coach, health coach, money coach, purpose coach — stopped making clinical sense to me. The domains aren't separate. The root isn't either.
HOW THE WORK MOVES
Three layers, in order. Skipping one is why most approaches stall.
The work moves through three layers in a specific order. Not because the other sequences don't produce results. Because of how the architecture of change actually works. You cannot retrain a nervous system that's still running an old story. You cannot rewrite a story you haven't located. And neither update holds without the embodied repetition that writes it into biology. Skip a layer and the whole structure collapses back to baseline under pressure. Every time.
STEP 01
Rewrite — Locate the story you're actually living inside.
Target: Identity / MUD (the subconscious story)
Most people can describe their conscious beliefs in detail and completely miss the story their behavior is actually organized around. The conscious beliefs aren't the problem. The MUD is — Misguided Unconscious Decisions formed early, before you had the context to evaluate them, that your entire operating system is still optimizing for decades later. The Rewrite step is archaeological. We locate the specific subconscious sentence driving the pattern, trace it across the domains of your life, and use memory reconsolidation to rewrite it at the encoding level. When the story updates, the behaviors downstream reorganize on their own. They have to. They were always just performing what the story required.
Locate the operating sentence
Name the Misguided Unconscious Decision precisely
Draft the replacement language — integration, not erasure
You can't change a story you haven't said out loud.
STEP 02
Target: Emotional charge / Gate layer (the climate, not the storm)
A story without its emotional charge is just a sentence. A story with its emotional charge is an identity. The Rewire step releases that charge — what I call the REBAR, the remembered emotional-and-behavioral reinforcement that hardens the subconscious decision into rigid identity structure. And it works at a specific layer: what NLH calls the Gate. The Gate is where emotions are composed, not just where they're performed. Your nervous system performs the composition. It didn't write it. Most somatic work targets the performance. We work upstream — where the composition lives — so the climate shifts, not just the weather.
Locate where the charge actually lives
Release the climate that keeps the MUD rigid
Compose at the Gate, not at the surface
Emotions are weather. Emotional tone is climate. We work the climate.
STEP 03
Target: Nervous system + biology + behavior (NAL — Neuro, Adrenal, Lymphatic)
Identity shifts without embodied practice collapse under real-world pressure. Every time. The nervous system, hormonal response, immune function, and behavioral patterns — what NLH calls the NAL layers, Neuro, Adrenal, Lymphatic — follow identity, but only when the new identity gets practiced into them through consistent lived repetition. The Retrain step builds the specific, daily architecture — sleep, movement, attention, relational pattern — that lets the new configuration become the body's default instead of its effort. This is where most programs start. It's the last step, not the first. Retrain on top of an old identity is willpower. Retrain on top of a genuinely updated identity is just practice.
Encode through lived repetition
Let nervous system, hormones, and behavior reorganize around the new identity
Build the architecture that makes the pattern the default
Biology follows identity. Build the repetitions that let it.
THE SEQUENCE IS NON-NEGOTIABLE
WHAT A SESSION ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE
What a session looks like.
01 Check-in with where the work is at. Not just this week — where the overall arc has been moving, what's been landing, what's been resistant.
Check-in with where the work is at.
Not just this week — where the overall arc has been moving, what's been landing, what's been resistant.
02 Select the thread based on the arc. Continuity matters here. We're not picking a new topic each session; we're working through a coherent piece of material with real sequence.

03 Deploy the method the material needs. Different sessions call for different work. Rewrite-heavy sessions look different from Rewire-heavy sessions. You'll experience the full range across the container.

THIS IS FOR YOU IF
If three of these land, you're in the right place.
You're functioning at a high level externally and eroding internally in a way no one around you can see. You've gotten expert at the performance. The expertise has become part of the problem.
You've done meaningful inner work before — therapy, plant medicine, retreats, coaching — and it left you with a ceiling you can feel but can't get past. The first layer of work gave you language. The language hasn't produced leverage.
You're not in acute crisis. You're in the slow-burn version, which is harder to justify taking seriously. You don't get sympathy for this one. You have to decide on your own that it matters.
You suspect the next layer isn't more insight. It's something more structural. You don't quite know what structural means yet — but you know insight isn't it.
You want someone who will hold real ground with you. Not validate everything. Not rescue you out of the hard part. Not perform understanding when actual work is what's needed.
THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT FIT IF
You need a clinical therapist. This isn't therapy. If you're in acute crisis, processing unintegrated trauma, or navigating untreated mental health conditions, you need therapy first, and I'll help you find the right referral.
You want quick wins, hacks, or productivity optimization layered on top of the existing pattern. That's not the work here. I'd be lying if I pretended it was.
You want to be told what to do. This is collaborative. I'll push back when I think you're avoiding the actual edge. I'll expect you to push back when I'm wrong. If you want a compliance relationship, this isn't it.
You're here to prove that nothing will work for you. The work requires a minimum of good faith. If that's not present yet, come back when it is — no judgment either way.
WHAT YOU'RE PROBABLY WONDERING
Before you decide, here's what usually comes up.
How is this different from coaching I've done before?
Most coaching works at the behavior layer. Accountability, habits, action plans. Useful, until your identity pulls you back to baseline. This works at the identity layer — the subconscious structures that decide what your behaviors are allowed to become. Different target. Different tools. Different results, for people who've already hit the ceiling of behavior-level work.
I already know my patterns. Why would more awareness help?
It wouldn't. Awareness isn't the point. The point is rewriting the subconscious story underneath the awareness, releasing the emotional charge that locks it in place, and encoding a new pattern in the body. You can be extremely self-aware and still stuck. In fact, most of my clients are. The work starts where awareness ends.
This sounds like therapy.
It's not, though I understand why it sounds close. Therapy works at the symptom and history level — genuinely important work. This works at the identity and mechanism level — the architecture generating the symptoms in the first place. We can talk through the distinction and you can decide whether it matters to you.
How do I know if I'm ready?
You're ready if you're tired of the same pattern showing up in new forms and you're willing to work at the layer where the pattern actually lives. You're not ready if you're looking for permission, a quick fix, or someone to cosign your current strategy. There's no judgment in either answer. The wrong timing produces bad work.
THE CONTAINER
The shape of the work.
A three-month container designed for identity-level work that needs real pacing to consolidate. Sessions work through the full Rewrite → Rewire → Retrain sequence with the continuity that real integration requires. Three months is the minimum for meaningful identity shift — anything shorter is symptom management in disguise. Anything longer is often unnecessary for the specific piece of work we're doing.

Book a free intro call
Reach out. We'll talk. If this is the right work for where you are, we'll figure out next steps. If it isn't, I'll say so directly and help you find what is. I don't believe in selling work that isn't the right fit — it doesn't serve you, and it doesn't serve me to have clients who should have gone somewhere else.

READY TO ENTER
You've read this far. The next move is a conversation.
Whether or not we end up working together, you'll leave the first conversation with a clearer read on what's actually in your way. That's worth reaching out for. It's also the step most people don't take — and the step most reliably separates the people who eventually change from the people who keep reading.
IN THEIR WORDS
It was a matter of good luck that I ended up working with Tanya. I used the opportunity to gain valuable insights and knowledge of problem solving strategies and techniques. It can be very beneficial to have an intelligent and enthusiastic coach to help you navigate the complexities of this life that we lead. Highly recommend.
